Ally Mtemvu - Head Guide
I am the owner and CEO at Safari A.M. Guide Services. My company embodies my passion for service, conservation and the promotion of Tanzania’s wildlife and natural wonders. I strive to promote on a global scale the amazing things Tanzania has to offer.
As a seasoned safari guide and a conservationist, I am proud to bring my 20+ years experience and be an ambassador for the tourism industry.
A Confident Guide
My name is Ally, people call me passionate, analytical, creative and knowledgeable. I strive to be a good communicator, always listening and interacting with my clients.
I am always learning and improving myself to help my business move to the next level.
I have extensive experience in the Instructional Techniques Course, (ITC). This is the special training for instructors involved in the tourism industry. I am excited to pass on my knowledge and experience to my clients.
I received my diploma in tourism and tour guiding at Transworld Wildlife Services LTD in 1999.
Get to know me better
I am a licensed professional and experienced tour guide. My goal is to add a personal touch to every tour I conduct. It is very important to me that every client leaves Tanzania with wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.
To each client, I offer extensive knowledge of Tanzania’s National Park system, local flora and fauna, cultural tourism, including historical points of interest. This includes my in depth understanding and relationships with the local tribes.
Whether it’s introducing guests to the Bushmen for a traditional hunt, the rich history of the Maasai, or tracking the elusive leopard, we can do it all.
I bring my wealth of experience and understanding of the natural world with an effervescent and contagious enthusiasm.
My professional experience:
- Instructor in tourism and tour guiding courses, royal institute of tourism and hotel management, and intel training centre, between year 2000 and 2004. Both in moshi
- Head of tourism department in intel training centre.
- Vice principle in royal institute of tourism and hotel management.
- Freelance guide, caring and guiding tourists to all the national parks, conservation areas and various tourist attractions all over the country, since the year 2005
- Secretary, and one of the founders of the freelance guides society of Tanzania, since November 2016
- Secretary, Tanzania tour guide awards foundation, since 2017
- Member, conservation incentive payment (cip) pilot program designing committee, under KOPELION (KOPELION) In Ngorongoro conservation area authority, SINCE 2019
- Languages: fluent in Swahili, fluent in English, basic knowledge of German and basic knowledge of Spanish
